Application to the Program

Thank you for your interest in the Parsons Disabled Fashion Student Program! Our committee is excited to learn about you — your story, your creativity, and the impact you hope to make in fashion design.

To apply for this scholarship program, you must also apply to Parsons School of Design for admission to one of the following programs: BFA Fashion Design or MFA Fashion Design and Society.

Eligibility

The program is open to domestic and international students who identify as Disabled and/or Neurodivergent, and are applying to the BFA Fashion Design or MFA Fashion Design and Society programs for Fall 2026 admission.

How to Apply

  1. Submit your admission application to the BFA Fashion Design or MFA Fashion Design and Society program for Fall 2026.
  2. Submit the Disabled Fashion Student Program application no later than March 16, 2026.

Admission decisions for degree programs are released in mid to late March 2026, and scholarship notifications will be emailed by April 1, 2026.

We know that disability inherently produces wisdom and creativity in fashion. We are excited to find new Disabled innovators who will push the creativity of fashion to new heights.

We recognize that people express themselves in different ways. A wide range of submission formats is available to support diverse access needs and communication styles.

If this application is not accessible to you for any reason, or if you would prefer to submit your materials in an alternate format, please contact us at DisabilityFashion@newschool.edu

We will work with you to ensure a format that meets your access needs.
